Lynne Yee

Lynne is one of our dedicated early-morning members, so if you’ve never been to the 5:00am, you may have never even seen her. She’s at the gym at least five times a week, and it’s definitely worth reading below to get to know her a little better.

How long have you been working out at JonesN4Crossfi?

Since April 2017

How many times a week do you CrossFit?

5-6 times

Do you have any background in athletics, such as playing high school or college sports? If so, what?

My background is totally not athletic. In high school, university, and beyond, I trained in modern dance and ballet. When I worked for the government, I kept my sanity by swimming laps in place of lunch.

Do you participate in any sports or other physical activities other than CrossFit?

I swim laps, practice yoga, and Zumba

What led you to begin CrossFitting?

I was rehabilitating from a foot stress fracture in order to resume my physical fitness qualifications for military duty. My physical therapist recommended CrossFit as the next step in my recovery.

What are your current fitness goals, and how has CrossFit helped you achieve them?

My fitness goal is improvement on a healthy, balanced life. CrossFit helps me achieve my goal because I commit time to work out. The programmed classes give me assignments that challenge my skills.

What is your favorite WOD or movement?

Haboob (“intense dust storm” in Arabic)-a WOD created by John Burns, all movements are performed with a 40 lb. or heavier sandbag
