A little more about Lee in his own words… I am a dog dad and love my 2 doodle dogs. I am a retail manager for HEB and manage the bakery department. I CrossFit so that I can taste test pies, cakes, and cookies. I like to encourage and support people to be the best that they can be. I like to travel, and my weakness is Thai and Chinese food.

Lee has been a part of our community for a little over a year. You’d never guess that he works in a bakery—but maybe CrossFit helps in that department. Lee has made incredible progress since he started with us, AND he just signed up for the Granite Games Throwdown! Way to go, Lee—we are so excited to watch you compete!

What led you to begin CrossFitting?

I had no prior knowledge or any idea what CrossFit was. What led me to begin my CrossFit journey was when I discovered it was more of a total body process than isolated workout movements. The constantly varied WOD’s are ideal. Also, the community and support that I witnessed at JN4 had me hooked from the very beginning.

What are your current fitness goals, and how has CrossFit helped you achieve them?

My current fitness goals are to develop strength, mobility, and endurance. CrossFit has helped me by pushing me out of my comfort zone and by focusing on the process of developing into a stronger individual, both physically and mentally.

What is your favorite WOD or movement?

Anything the has running in it—Fran and Murph are awesome.

What is your least favorite WOD or movement?

Any WOD with rowing
