Strongman Saturday 9a WOD

We're switching things up!!
In place of our regular Saturday 9am CrossFit partner WOD, next Saturday is your crash course on the Strongman sport.
And YES...this is a FREE class, for members only!

Strongman is about strength in lifting, carrying and moving odd objects. Learn how to implement strongman movements into a CrossFit workout, improve grip strength and build stronger, explosive power of the hips. These type of loads challenge the neuromuscular system in a way a barbell cannot and better mimic challenges found outside the gym.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to use some of the strongman equipment we have in the gym that doesn't get used on a regular basis. The class will be split into two groups, Jill's group will learn proper technique on how to use an Atlas Stone and Crissy's group will learn proper technique on how to use a Log. Don't worry, we will still be working out together after this in a CrossFit/Strongman style WOD.
